Current Analysis Report: Microsoft Tops Collaboration Vendors Currently in Use
Leading research firm releases results of their 2012 collaboration study
Sterling, VA, USA, January 3, 2013 – Current Analysis, the market leader in continuous, tactical competitive intelligence for the telecommunications and information technology markets, announced today the release of their Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) study on enterprise procurement plans. Based on their recent primary research of 600 companies in the U.S. and Europe, Current Analysis is compiling a five-part series of reports providing in-depth insight into the plans and processes that enterprises have for the adoption of collaboration services and technology.
“When evaluating UCC options, optimizing employee interaction is the top goal for U.S. enterprises,” added David Lemelin, Director of Custom Research at Current Analysis. The first report focuses on how well current UCC solutions are meeting initial expectations, as well as planned adoption of solutions in the U.S. and European markets. U.S. enterprises are more likely to allow employees to use non-company-sanctioned UCC solutions than their counterparts in Europe. This is particularly the case with IM/presence solutions where 21% of U.S. businesses allow non-sanctioned use versus 9% among European respondents, according to Lemelin.
