Identity Management - The software, hardware and service infrastructure that allows companies to create, manage, and authenticate user identities and broker services based on those identities. Identity management involves four major tasks: authentication, authorization, access control, and audit. Identity Management coverage includes established market segments such as directory servers, certificate authorities, certificate management servers, password management, and single sign-on solutions. Network Access Control - The coverage takes an expansive view of the evolving NAC market. A complete NAC solution should include the following capabilities: host posture checking, quarantine and remediation, identity-aware and policy based authentication and resource access control, and post admission threat protection, quarantine, and remediation. Threat Management - The systems, both hardware and software, that aim to either prevent or detect intruders on a network or prevent viruses from causing damage, respectively. Coverage includes network-based and host- based IDS/IPS and content security systems (i.e., antivirus, anti-spam, etc.) deployed at the desktop, servers and gateways Security Management - The overlay of solutions that provides additional command and control capabilities to security systems. Security management solutions include security event management and vulnerability management systems. Firewall & IPsec/SSL VPN - Covers enterprise remote access and site-to-site security technologies. |
