In the five month period between March and July 2010, there were 13 announcements referencing 26 advanced video advertising use cases made by digital media infrastructure (DMI) vendors and their service provider partners. Despite having the same number of announcements as in the previous five month period, the 26 referenced use cases (i.e., interactive RFI, dynamic on-demand insertion, addressable linear, telescoping, graphic overlays and voting/polling) within the current period’s announcements represent a healthy 44% increase. The most noticeable development is the increased partnership activity as DMI vendors establish go-to-market agreements and launch integrated products, attesting to the increased commercialization of advanced video advertising technology.
